Tennis coaching is available to all boys in Years 5 to 12 every morning and afternoon during the school term.
Boys who choose to represent the School can do so in the GPS competition (Years 5 to 12) during term 2.
The School Tennis Championships are conducted in Term 1 and are played in the same year and age groups as the GPS competition. Players can enter both singles and/or doubles competitions.
Beyond the school-based program, serious players are encouraged to participate in round robins, tournaments, tours, Tennis Queensland sanctioned tournaments and other special events which occur throughout the year.
The BGS tennis courts are bounded by Victoria Park Road and the inner city bypass. They are accessed by travelling north along the inner city bypass towards the RBWH exit left (after Kelvin Grove Road flyover). They can also be accessed by travelling south along Victoria Park Road, Kevin Grove (QUT precinct); the tennis courts will be visible on your left; take the left exit before the inner city bypass. Click here to access the Google maps link to the Brisbane grammar School Playing Fields at Kelvin Grove.
The tennis program is assisted by the tennis support group, the Wimbledon Club. All tennis parents are able to join this club and attend meetings.
For members of the BGS community, additional information on the tennis program can be found on MyGrammar.
