Ware has made an indelible mark on investigative journalism. His portrait of the Iraq War earned him countless awards, including a Walkley. Last month he became the only non-US citizen to successfully nominate a living soldier for the ‘Medal of Honor’ – the highest military honour in America. Ware was singled out for praise by the medal recipient, who said during his speech at the Pentagon that Ware gave him the confidence to save his platoon in the act of bravery.

More recently, Ware rode with The Night Wolves, a pro-Putin motorcycle gang; explored witchcraft in PNG; and interviewed Iranian spies as part of an eight-episode National Geographic series. His stories will amaze and entertain and pave the way for a fantastic night of reminiscing for BGS Old Boys.

A raffle prize to rule them all
Don't miss the opportunity to win a top raffle prize: two cartons of Stone and Wood Pacific Ale every month for a year, plus a personal tour by Brad Rogers '86 of the Byron and Murwillumbah breweries, including beer tasting.
