Launching BGS150 Celebrations

Our BGS150 celebrations have officially launched. As a symbol of our 150-year history and connection with the community of Brisbane, this week the Story Bridge and Victoria Bridge have been lit up in Brisbane Grammar School's renowned light dark blue colours. The Story Bridge is representative of BGS' connection to Brisbane, named after prominent Old Boy John Douglas Story, who after graduating from BGS went on to become a distinguished Queensland public servant.

The Story Bridge lit up in the BGS light dark blue colours on Monday 19 February.

The theme for our 150-year anniversary is Celebrating our Community and throughout 2018 the School will host a number of events that do just that. You are encouraged to join us as we reflect on and celebrate our successes as a community over 150 years.

The response to our BGS150 Gala Dinner on Saturday 3 March has been overwhelming, with tickets sold out and over 700 people set to enjoy a wonderful evening at City Hall. There are a number of other opportunities for the BGS community to reconnect with the School throughout 2018, including our 150 Years of BGS Sport and Community event on 7 September.
