Coronavirus update - 8.30pm 29 January 2020
Change in advice to people who have travelled to China or Hong Kong
The following updated advice regarding the management of novel Coronavirus has been provided by the Queensland Department of Education late this afternoon (29 January 2020). These updates apply to the BGS Community.
- Anyone who has been in contact with any confirmed novel Coronavirus cases must self-isolate (self-isolation means staying at home and not accepting visitors) for 14 days following exposure.
- Anyone who has visited Hubei Province of China needs to self-isolate for 14 days after leaving Hubei Province.
- Anyone who has visited China cannot attend school, childcare or TAFE for 14 days after leaving China, including Hong Kong.
- This includes students, teachers and anyone who works or attends these facilities.
