Orientation Day 2020

Brisbane Grammar School welcomed over 260 excited new students today, including 12 new boarders.

Parents heard from the Headmaster, Head of Middle School and School Captain in The Lilley Centre Forum as part of the Orientation Day program.

Headmaster Anthony Micallef said the first day of any school year is exciting, but when joining a new school there is added eagerness and anticipation. “I am sure there was a flurry of activity in your households this morning," he said. “We are delighted that you have chosen BGS to educate your son."

“For over 150 years, BGS has shaped meaningful learning experiences for boys to become men of character. We look forward to sharing your families' journey at BGS. We openly aspire to be the best school for boys in Australia. Our motto, nil sine labore – nothing without work, defines who we are and shapes the enactment of our values."

Parents were able to meet the BGS Senior Leadership Team and tour the campus.

Middle School students were introduced to their Prefects and Form Seniors and spent time forming connections around the campus and in classrooms.

Best of luck to the newest members of the BGS community.
