BGS Foundation Day

Celebrated on Friday 24 February this year, BGS Foundation Day 2017 will honour three pioneers of the School's past: our longest-serving and most significant head R. H. Roe; our first Rhodes Scholar A. S. Roe; and A. J. Mason who taught at BGS from 1889 to 1940. Each year these key men are remembered through the awarding of Foundation Day scholarships in their name.

The event also provides an opportunity for current students to hear from an inspiring graduate. This year BGS Old Boy Adam Franklin '97 will be the guest speaker, explaining his journey to a number one author on Amazon and successful career in web marketing.

Co-founder of Bluewire Media, a web marketing firm he started in 2005 with fellow BGS Old Boy Toby Jenkins '97, Franklin's Bluewire Media blog was named the number one business blog in Australia in 2015. He has written for The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, and Huffington Post.
