Headmaster visits BGS Old Boys at Survey Monkey, Facebook, Apple

While in the USA for two BGS Old Boy events in New York and San Francisco, Headmaster Anthony Micallef visited a number of Old Boys working in Silicon Valley – home to many of the world's largest high-tech corporations and thousands of start-up companies.

First was a visit to BGS Old Boy Miles Cederman-Haysom '97, the engineering manager at Survey Monkey. Then it was on to Facebook to visit Miles' twin brother and fellow '97 Old Boy Tim Cederman-Haysom, whose wife Trudy works as a research manager at Facebook. Currently on sabbatical, Tim is a software engineer who previously worked at Survey Monkey and Trip Advisor.

It was then on to Apple to visit BGS Old Boy Sam Whittington '99, who works as corporate counsel at Apple, after previously working at law firms in New York and San Francisco.

BGS Old Boys continue to spread their wings around the world, with a growing number calling Silicon Valley home. Keep an eye out next year as we look to profile in more depth the innovative work these BGS alumni are doing in the technology sector.
