From the President

Welcome to the Parents and Friends’ Association of which all parents are members.

The objectives of the Association are to encourage appropriate parental involvement at the School and to contribute to the educational experiences of the boys through the provision of voluntary services and the raising of funds to support school activities, resources and projects.

The Parents and Friends’ Association acts as an umbrella organisation for a number of separate support groups associated with individual sports or activities.

A particularly important group is the P&F Auxiliary. This group operates the Grammar Shop and Tuckshop with volunteer assistance throughout the year. The Auxiliary provides a most important service to boys and their parents and the revenue from its operations furnishes capital for many major projects within the School.

Our support groups also include:

  • Art Committee

  • Basketball - Hardwood Club

  • Cricket – Willow Club

  • Fencing - Musketeers

  • Gymnastics - MAGS

  • Moogerah

  • Music

  • Rowing – Tipperoo

  • Rugby –  Normanby Blues

  • Sailing – Spinnakers

  • Soccer - Wembley Club

  • Tennis – Wimbledon Club

Through the P&F Association structure, there are many ways for parents to involve themselves in school activities. The benefit of being able to be directly involved in those activities that are of specific interest to their sons holds great value.

We encourage you to become actively involved in the support groups to enhance your own journey within the BGS community. We look forward to meeting you at one of our many events.

The President of the Parent and Friends' Association is Mr Craig Chapman
