    World War I Honour Board

The World War I Honour Board on the eastern wall of the Great Hall pays tribute to over 1000 Old Boys, masters and trustees who served in the armed forces from 1914-1918. The honour board was designed by Old Boy architect Thomas Ramsay Hall (BGS 1891-1894) of the firm Hall & Prentice, which designed City Hall. The honour board was unveiled on 14 August 1916 by the Right Honourable Sir Ronald Munro-Ferguson, Governor-General of Australia. The names of those who lost their lives during the war are listed on separate honour boards inside the War Memorial Library.
