    1869 School Prospectus

    ​​​​​The School's first School Prospectus produced in 1869 showed BGS was open for business 'for the reception of all boys, over eight years of age, who can read, write, and work examples in the simple rules of Arithmetic.' Boys were required to learn one modern language and Latin, and were taught music under Master Silvester Diggles. Holidays included St Patrick's, St Andrew's and St George's Days.
