    Harriet Carson-Cooling Memorial Window

One of the Great Hall's beautiful stained-glass windows is William Bustard's 1950 Memorial Window to Harriet Carson-Cooling. It was commissioned by the Old Boys' Association to honour the wife of a former Headmaster, George Carson-Cooling (1940-1947). Harriet provided a caring environment for boys separated from their families during the war when she was living in School House (Roe Building), which also accommodated boarders.
