    The Cadet Honour Board

The Cadet Honour Board, which records the 1903, 1907 and 1914 champion cadet teams, is probably the most visually appealing honour board at the School because of its Italian Renaissance style frame and carved leaf ornament on top. It is divided into two sections, which include the ‘Schools of Empire Shooting Competition’ for 1903 and 1907, as well as the ‘Commonwealth Champion Cadet Team’ for 1914. The honour board was erected after the BGS company, under Lieutenant Albert Smethurst West (BGS 1910-1914), won the Commonwealth Cadet competition in 1914. The outbreak of war prevented any further competition.
