    Reginald Heber Roe Diary

‚ÄčThis 1876 diary of Reginald Heber Roe records his experiences travelling from England to Australia to take up his appointment as the School's second Headmaster. He describes the journey, which included sailing from Liverpool to New York, travelling to San Francisco by train, and sailing across the Pacific to Sydney.

Roe said he met Headmaster Thomas Harlin in Sydney, and he observed Harlin 'was warm hearted and good natured', noting he could see that there must have been a good deal to try him, but 'he never showed anything but the very nicest feeling'.
