Tom Creed's (BGS 1875-1877) parents wrote at least 45 letters (which have been transcribed) to their son, a boarder in Mr Keogh's house. Edith Creed wrote many of them from the family property, Langmorn Station. This touching letter written in 1876 from his father, like much of the correspondence, is full of words of encouragement and advice to Tom about his schooling, and details of life on the property. 'I enclose a cheque for £2 as you desired…keep yourself respectably dressed and take care of your clothes and money and apply yourself to learning. Xmas will soon draw along, I long to see you. We are all quite well and I remain, your affect. Father. Thomas Creed.'
