    R.H. Roe Bronze Bust 1926

This bronze bust of second Headmaster Reginald Heber Roe was cast by the Perides Art Foundry in 1985 from a plaster sculpted many years earlier. Daphne Mayo, one of Queensland's most renowned sculptors, sculpted the plaster circa 1926 during the most productive period of her career. She had many important commissions including the Brisbane City Hall Tympanum (the recessed triangular sculpture at the top of the façade). City Hall opened on 8 April 1930.
