    Ralston Challenge Trophy

Brisbane Grammar School was presented with the Ralston Challenge Trophy by Major Walter Vardon Ralston in 1913 for winning the First Military District cadet competition. The diminutive cadet statue on the trophy is like many memorials erected after World War I. The School won the competition in 1914, 1921, 1922, 1928 and 1930. The trophy was made before the adoption of the Commonwealth Coat of Arms and shows the kangaroo and emu in reversed positions.
