    Letter from Governor-General 1925

Before leaving Australia, the Right Honourable Lord Forster, Governor-General of Australia, wrote this letter to the Headmaster, dated 28 September 1925, asking that his best wishes be passed on to the boys: 'Many of them will shortly be entering the public and business life of the Commonwealth, and I am quite sure that in this new sphere of life they will “Play the Game” in the same manner as they are now playing it in the Sports and Pastimes of their School life...I should be glad if you would give the school the whole holiday on some suitable occasion which I should have given as a mark of my friendship and goodwill' (had he been able to return and do it himself on a second visit).
