Brisbane Grammar School is proud to have attained national accreditation from the Australian Childhood Foundation for the Safeguarding Children Program.
During the accreditation process, the School underwent a voluntary, independent audit of its operational framework, benchmarked against a set of evidence-based standards.
BGS successfully met all seven Standards of the Safeguarding Children Program accreditation requirements, reflecting its commitment to the highest standards of child protection.
This recognition underscores Brisbane Grammar School’s commitment to implementing effective policies and procedures for the wellbeing of all children and young people under its care. This commitment extends to providing a safe and supportive learning environment and requiring all staff, volunteers and visitors to embody and promote behaviour that protects students and children from harm.
“The overarching objective of achieving Safeguarding Children Accreditation was not merely to meet compliance standards but to instil a robust child-safe culture that provides genuine protection and support to all children and young people associated with the School”, said David Carroll, Senior Deputy Headmaster.
The Safeguarding Children Program accreditation marks another significant step in the School’s ongoing commitment to prioritising the safety and wellbeing of its students.
