In an exciting new era for Rugby at Brisbane Grammar School, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Brendan Gabbett and Mr Teti Tela as 1st XV Assistant Coaches.
Brendan brings a wealth of coaching experience gained from his tenure at Brothers Rugby Union and GPS Rugby Club. His leadership at Brothers saw the team achieve unprecedented success, clinching the premier grade premiership twice and consistently reaching the preliminary finals.
Joining Brendan is former rugby star Teti Tela, whose illustrious playing career has seen him represent Fiji in 11 tests, and don the jerseys of teams such as the Queensland Reds, Fijian Latui, GPS Rugby Club and most recently, the Fijian Drua. As Teti transitions from player to coach, his extensive knowledge and passion for the game are set to inspire the next generation of rugby stars at BGS.
With their combined experience, passion and dedication to excellence, Brendan and Teti are poised to make a significant impact on the much-anticipated 2024 BGS Rugby season.
