The Class of 2022 academic results have been released and Brisbane Grammar School seniors achieved outstanding results, including a median ATAR of 94.50.

This median is particularly impressive given our large non-selective cohort of 265 boys.

Five students achieved the top rank of 99.95, a further three students received an ATAR of 99.90 and an additional eight students received 99.85, an extraordinary outcome for these students.

Other highlights include:

  • ATAR 99 or above was achieved by 16.93% of the cohort
  • ATAR 95 or above was achieved by 47.24% of the cohort
  • ATAR 90 and above was achieved by 75.98% of the cohort
  • ATAR 80 and above was achieved by 90.55% of the cohort

BGS Headmaster Anthony Micallef praised the Class of 2022 and said the School’s pursuit of excellence across all areas contributed to the strong results.

“The outstanding ATAR results achieved by the Class of 2022 reflects their spirit and the culture of excellence promoted over many years at Brisbane Grammar School,” Mr Micallef said.

“The boys overcame changes and challenges throughout the year. They encouraged one another and were extremely well supported by their teachers.

“BGS aims to be the best school for boys in Australia by providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students to develop a sense of belonging and maximise their potential.

“BGS teachers understand that the relationship between students, parents and teachers is imperative to success. They create a culture of deep thinking, directed feedback and a strong alliance between home and school.

“Our goal is to cultivate students’ talents, broaden their interests and develop their personal qualities. We aim to nurture integrity, embrace creativity, encourage teamwork, and promote an open mindset.

“We know that well-rounded students are happier and achieve better academic outcomes.”

For 154 years Brisbane Grammar School has delivered outstanding educational programs and remains committed to facilitating the character and intellectual development of young men.
