In an outpouring of generosity and support, the Brisbane Grammar School community has rallied to raise more than $2.5M for the 2023 Giving Day.
Yesterday, the community donated $1,051,348 and the P&F Auxiliary generously pledged $1.5M.
This year resulted in overwhelming support for the STEAM Precinct and the Bursary Fund, which enables means-tested places for students.
The School will acknowledge the monumental donation from the P&F Auxiliary by naming one of the STEAM towers in the Atrium. More than 100 donors also gave $1,000 to name a glass brick in the STEAM Precinct cafe.
BGS is privileged to have dedicated and selfless volunteers who offer their time to help in the Tuckshop, Grammar Shop, at sporting and cocurricular events, and on committees.
Staff and students celebrated Giving Day by taking part in plenty of fun and games throughout the day at the Spring Hill campus.
Parents and boys were greeted with big smiles and bouncy balls in the drop-off zone in the morning, while friendly rivalry heated up in a game of tug-of-war between boarders and day students.
Thank you to everyone who donates their time and money – your generosity continues to create a progressive and inclusive school, which is transformational to the education of BGS students.
