Together, the BGS community raised more than $1.5 million for Giving Day – exceeding our original target by 150 per cent. This generous community support for needs-based bursaries and the STEAM Precinct will shape the way we educate BGS boys for decades to come.
Sixty-eight Old Boys donated more than $280,000. A special thanks to Allan Davies ’69 who gave $150,000 to Indigenous bursaries, and Ben Thynne ’89 who gave $40,000 to name one of the STEAM spaces.
Old Boys Chris Tan ‘90 and Scott Wharton ’95 each gave $25,000 to name spaces in the STEAM Precinct, while James Chin Moody ’93, John Wacker ’87 and Kieran Dauber ‘92 each gave $10,000 to name a STEAM Atrium step.
The P&F Auxiliary, which runs the Tuckshop and the Grammar Shop, gave $100,000 to the STEAM Precinct, while an anonymous donor gave $60,000 to need-based bursaries.
Thank you to all donors.
