Hosted by the vibrant and insightful Peta Ellis, the new season of the Brisbane Grammar School’s Light Dark Blue Podcast, aptly themed "Health and Happiness," delves into the critical elements that shape a joyful and healthy educational journey.

As a founder, entrepreneur and business leader, Peta brings her unique perspective as well as 20+ years of experience in business to the Light Dark Blue podcast as our new host.

Joining Peta each week are experienced and influential guests including BGS teachers, staff and industry experts, who discuss the significance of fostering purpose, passion, and connection in students. These weekly episodes shed light on how student wellbeing, cocurricular, and outdoor education programs serve as the cornerstones of holistic development at Brisbane Grammar School.

"As someone deeply embedded in the innovation and entrepreneurship world, I’ve seen firsthand how our next generation's mindset and emotional intelligence will define their success far more than academic scores alone,” shares host, Peta Ellis.

“The quality of our young people, their curiosity, resilience, and self-awareness, is what will make or break careers in the future."

This season, titled Health and Happiness takes a deeper dive into what it’s like to experience a Brisbane Grammar School education, exploring topics like passion and purpose, nutrition, and even how sleep is a major factor in student performance and learning.

“Hosting these conversations has been a meaningful way to connect the dots between what’s taught, how it’s taught, who’s doing it, and the why behind it all. And it reaffirms that the human element, leadership, empathy, and purpose are alive and well at BGS," says Peta.

“I think there’s something in this season for parents, teachers and students alike.”

Season three of the School’s Light Dark Blue podcasts is now available on all streaming services and now includes complete episodes available on Youtube.
