Brisbane Grammar School recognises middle schooling as a critical phase in the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of boys. Grounded in a proud tradition of liberal education, the School is committed to developing the whole person, nurturing each boy’s character as well as his intellect.

In Years 5 to 8, Middle School students are encouraged to explore and embrace a wide range of opportunities, building a strong foundation for future success in their senior years.
The Middle School’s vibrant classrooms, library, and social spaces are thoughtfully designed to support adolescent boys and are located within the School’s main campus.
Here, dedicated teachers deliver engaging lessons that make school an exciting and rewarding place to learn, play and grow.
Year 12 Form Seniors are allocated to each Middle School class. Our Form Seniors regularly visit classrooms and participate in activities with younger students, serving as positive role models while fostering a strong sense of community.
Middle School is a vibrant community where boys feel connected, supported and inspired. It’s where boys embrace new opportunities, forge lasting friendships and discover interests that spark a lifelong love of learning.
- Ms Rebecca Campbell, Head of Middle School
As well as a rigorous and engaging academic program, Middle School students actively embrace a range of sporting and cultural pursuits. From Year 5, students also participate in the Outdoor Education program at our purpose-built centre on the shores of Lake Moogerah, where they develop resilience, teamwork and perseverance.
Through every aspect of Middle School life, Brisbane Grammar School strives to instill the values that shape thoughtful, confident and capable young men of character.
