ATAR Results
51% of BGS graduates are in Queensland’s top 10% of eligible graduating students.
The class of 2024 achieved a median ATAR of 95.40. This translates to 51% of the cohort being in the state's top 10% of graduates in 2024.
Five of our 2024 senior students earned the highest possible ATAR of 99.95. A further five students received an ATAR of 99.90.
NAPLAN Results
54% of BGS students are in Queensland’s top 13% of students.
Continuing a tradition of top academic performance, the 2025 NAPLAN results highlight the strength and quality of the School’s outstanding teaching staff and learning practices.

In Literacy, results include:
- In Year 9, 54.2% of BGS students were rated as ‘Exceeding’, compared to 17.6% across Queensland
- In Year 7, 54.5% of BGS students were rated as ‘Exceeding’ compared to 17% across Queensland
- In Year 5, 46.6% of BGS students were rated as ‘Exceeding’ compared to 14.8% across Queensland
Additionally, BGS outshone most Queensland schools in Numeracy, including:
- In Year 9, 60.7% of BGS students were rated as ‘Exceeding’ compared to 9.2% across Queensland
- In Year 7, 70% of BGS students were rated as ‘Exceeding’ standard compared to 13.1% across Queensland
- In Year 5, 55.5% of BGS students were rated as ‘Exceeding’ compared to 9.9% across Queensland
These results set a new precedent in excellence. Testament to our School’s culture and commitment to our teaching staff and leaders, our academic support systems, and the educational leaders who have fostered an environment of holistic development, our students continue to succeed in the classroom—and beyond.

QCE Results
7% of BGS students are in the state’s top 1% of students
In 2024, 41 BGS students achieved perfect scores across 11 subjects.
The median subject score for all BGS seniors across all subjects was 89/100 and 75% of seniors earned an A grade in at least three of their six subjects.

A BGS education provides a diverse generation of students with STEAM initiatives that cultivate creative, innovative and effective thinkers.
