The ‘other’ name for Moogerah is of course Pepperina Hill. The first report of camp in the 1976 School Magazine refers to it by this name, which legend has it refers to the sole pepperina tree that was standing on the hill behind the future site of the dormitory. The early Pepperina Hill logo was stencilled on the bow of the all the boats and on Friday afternoon boys could screen print the logo on a t-shirt as a souvenir of their week.
