Message from the OBA President

Formally established in 1898, the Brisbane Grammar School Old Boys’ Association (OBA) has a proud history and continues to honour and respect the traditions of the School. The purpose of the OBA is to:

  1. Establish a formal link between the School and past students;
  2. Promote a spirit of comradeship and union among Old Boys;
  3. Offer guidance and leadership to Old Boys;
  4. Support the School's aims and objectives; and
  5. Maintain and promote the School's heritage.

The OBA promotes annual and milestone reunion functions, Old Boy events and networking opportunities.

Old Boys are invited to join community social media networks, including the Old Boys' Association Facebook and the School's Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

Ultimately, the OBA is here for you. I encourage all BGS Old Boys to explore the below information and reconnect with the School.

Events, Networking and Reunions

Brisbane Grammar School Old Boys Association offers a range of events, including professional networking sessions and annual milestone reunions. The networking events, held twice a year, provide opportunities to build career connections, find mentors, and engage with expert panels on various industries.

Reunions celebrate key milestones, with casual functions for most year groups and formal dinners or lunches for 50 and 60 year anniversaries. BGS is happy to assist with reunions outside of traditional milestones.

Both event types foster strong connections among Old Boys, encouraging meaningful relationships and continued involvement within the School community.
