Back to BGS Weekend is a valued tradition in the Brisbane Grammar School calendar, offering Old Boys and their families, past, present, and future, the opportunity to return to the School and reconnect with the wider community.

Coinciding with the Back to BGS Weekend, the Class of 1986 will celebrate 40 years since their graduation with an exclusive viewing area of the BGS v TGS rugby games at Oval 1 Spring Hill, followed by a late afternoon casual function.

Old Boys from the Class of 2016 will have to opportunity to celebrate their first milestone reunion, marking 10 years since their graduation from BGS. With the option to meet in the afternoon of Saturday 25 July at Back to BGS, the cohort will enjoy an exclusive viewing area of BGS 1st XV vs TGS on Oval 1 before the official reunion function commences at The Normanby Hotel at 5pm.

An afternoon of fine beef, wine and company promises to be an occasion not to be missed.

2026 marks 30 years since the Class of 1996 graduated from BGS. 

Old boys are invited to enjoy an evening of connection and shared memories at the reunion. The evening will commence with an optional tour of the school, followed by a relaxed evening event at The Normanby Hotel.

Old Boys from the Class of 1966 will enjoy an evening of comradery and shared memories with a sit-down dinner in the Great Hall at BGS. Those interested may also enjoy in an optional tour of the school in the afternoon.

Arrangements are now underway to celebrate the 50 year reunion of the 1976 cohort, to be held at the school on the evening of Saturday 24 October 2026, for a sit-down dinner in the Great Hall. An optional school tour will also be available in the late afternoon.
