Opened in 2025, the new Sports Science Gym is a cutting-edge training hub built to the highest standards of safety, design and functionality.
Key features include:
- A full suite of custom equipment - bumper plates, plyoboxes, kettlebells, dumbbells, racks, cables, benches, GHDs and more
- A dedicated wrestling and stretching zone with 800mm wall padding
- Integrated digital displays showcasing training programs and the full Sports Science vision
- Bespoke flooring and custom graphics reflecting the School’s values and identity
Located on level 2 of the Indoor Sports Centre, the state-of-the-art facility forms phase one of the School’s Sports Science project aimed at enhancing student wellbeing, athletic development, and learning through innovative spaces.
With the gym now serving as a high-performance training hub, the physical output and performance metrics gathered through strength and conditioning training provide essential insights that will inform the development of phase two: the Sports Science Laboratory, due for completion in 2026.
The Sports Science Gym is a central feature of the School's strategic growth and future global sporting connections.

Sports Science Laboratory – coming soon
The Sports Science Lab will serve as a dynamic, interdisciplinary space where students examine the science of sport and human performance. It will draw upon key disciplines—physiology, biomechanics, learning design, and performance analysis - to investigate how athletes train, compete, and improve.
Using contemporary, evidence-based practices, students will evaluate physical outputs, interpret real-time performance metrics, and apply critical insights to enhance individual and team outcomes. By integrating data science, engineering, and technology, the Lab will bridge the gap between practice and theory, significantly enriching the School’s STEAM curriculum and sporting programs.
