The Indoor Sports Centre is a world-class facility designed to support athletic excellence across a wide range of sports and training disciplines.
The large multi-purpose sports hall can accommodate two full basketball or indoor soccer courts, three volleyball courts, or six badminton courts. A tiered grandstand overlooks the action and seats up to 300 spectators. The hall is used extensively for physical education and sport.
The cricket area includes three indoor wickets within fully retractable netting and a specialised rubber compound surface, ideal for simulating real game conditions. Coaches can use bowling machines and adjust speeds to suit varying skill levels.
A heated 10-lane, 25-metre FINA-standard swimming pool supports a wide range of aquatic activities year-round, including swimming squads, water polo, lifesaving and kayaking. A gallery alongside the pool can accommodate up to 200 spectators.
The purpose-built gymnastics hall meets all requirements for Men’s Artistic Gymnastics and includes Olympic-standard equipment, including a full-size sprung floor, vaults, rings, parallel and high bars, trampoline, and a large foam pit. Up to 200 spectators can watch from a dedicated viewing area.
The Sports Science Gym on Level 2 is the latest addition to the Indoor Sports Centre and has been designed to enhance athletic development, learning and student wellbeing. Meeting the highest standards in safety, design, and functionality, the Sports Science Gym offers student athletes a modern training hub boasting the latest technology and equipment.
