The Brisbane Grammar School community has supported the School's mission of providing a broad liberal education for over 150 years. BGS aims to engage with all members of the community – past, present and future students and parents to friends, staff and Old Boys. The School encourages everyone to get involved in community activities, events and groups throughout the year.
Parents and Friends
The BGS Parents and Friends' (P&F) Association comprises a number of groups that support the Grammar Shop, Tuckshop and various educational and cocurricular activities. All parents are encouraged to support the sports and activities their sons are involved in by joining the relevant support group.
BGS Old Boys enjoy enduring connections with Brisbane Grammar School long after they graduate. All Old Boys are invited to reconnect with the School, participate in the Old Boys' Association, and join Brisbane Grammar Connect, the Old Boy mentoring and networking portal.
BGS community members have the opportunity to hire the iconic Great Hall as a wedding venue. For more information consult the Venue Hire page.
The BGS community has proven to be generous, inclusive and supportive. From family businesses sponsoring school events to the spirit of parent volunteers, we have shown that when help is needed we know how to contribute.
BGS volunteers have made outstanding contributions to the wellbeing and future of the School and its students. The School continues to value the service and financial support resulting from volunteerism. Long-serving volunteers are recognised through the annual presentation of the Betty Howell Awards.
